There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of hair loss treatment products on the market today. The reality is some work and most don't. Unfortunately, when you read the advertising no business is going to tell you their solution is not really effective. Everyone is going to claim that the treatment they provide is the best thing since sliced bread. It is really up to you to find out which products are effective and which are a waste of your time and money.
With that in mind, below are 6 things you should find out before spending your hard earned cash on any treatment purported to re-grow your hair. If you can get satisfactory answers to these questions then the product may be worthwhile, if not, try something else.
- Does the FDA approve of the product? This is the number one criteria because FDA approval means the treatment has some success.
- Is it approved or recommended by the American Hair Loss Association which review hair loss studies?
- Is the success rate of the product good? You will not get 100% but it should be above 50%.
- Is the product intended for men or women or both. Some treatments focused on male hair loss are actually dangerous for women?
- How long do you have to use the product before seeing results?
- How often does a person need use the product? This will have a direct effect on the cost of the product over the treatment period.
